When booking your newborn photography session, it is so important to think about the style of photography you want. There are many options out there, many styles, many wonderful talented people doing this work. I always take it as a huge compliment when someone mentions they “fell in love with my style”.
My style bleeds into every session, and it is hard to hide. I tend to use muted, soft colors, rustic and vintage elements, and wood tones. I love playing with textures too. My newborns are usually decorated with wraps, headbands, and hats. I sometimes also throw in a little pants set or outfit. The accessories and fabrics I purchase for my studio, are a direct reflection of this style. It is rare you will see bold colors from me!
Adalynn’s mom saw my work on the walls of her OBGYN office, and told me she had to have me photographer her newborn. I was thrilled to get to work with them, and create photos they will cherish forever.
One of the questions I ask my newborn session clients is what colors they want incorporated. Some clients give me specifics, and some are open to many color options. Adalynn’s mom was looking for girly pinks and purples, so that is what we stuck with. I incorporated some basic neutrals and wood tones as well.
