Newborn photography is really an art form unique from any other type of photography. It takes a lot of patience and training. These photos are once in a lifetime, as your baby will never grow and change as much as they do during those first few weeks and months. As a mom, I know from experience that these portraits are truly irreplaceable, and I always have that thought in the back of my mind when working with newborns.

The approach I take with a newborn is completely different from any other session I photograph. The newborn experience is typically very low-key and detail-oriented. I spend a lot of time posing your baby, perfecting each little finger, and accessorizing to accent their features. It is a slow process, but the result is so worth the extra time we spend. Siblings and parents are always welcome to be a part of the session as well, so we can capture your very first family photo, or that new sibling connection.

RESERVE YOUR DUE DATE

I am only able to take reservations for a set number of due dates per month, so please reserve early. Most parents contact me around 20 weeks to reserve their date on my calendar.

It is time to schedule your session! Reach out to me as soon as that little one arrives, and we will pick a date and time for you session when baby is between 5 and 14 days old.

I work to pose your newest addition in the sweetest little positions, while capturing their perfect little details. Newborn sessions are held at the studio and take approximately 2 hours.

Your online gallery, where you will view and select your favorite images, is ready about two weeks after your session takes place. You can select and purchase your favorite images, prints, and products, right from home.

Comfort and Safety of your Newborn

The comfort and safety of your new family member is my top priority. I have been professionally trained to handle your newborn with care, while working them into positions that are flattering, and of course, adorable. I handle your child as if it were my own, and take pride in my continued education in the area of newborn photography. During the session, you are able to observe the entire process in the studio, or you are welcome to take a break in my waiting area.

A Full-Service Studio

My studio, located at 910 1/2 York Street in Hanover, is a full-service location. From the moment you arrive, you are welcome to make yourself at home with complimentary coffee. Heck, you can even watch Netflix in the lobby, if you prefer! The waiting area is also the perfect place for older siblings to hang out while we work with the little one in the back. And when it comes to the session itself, I have absolutely everything we need to accessorize and style your photos. I am fully-stocked with high quality accessories, props, blankets, and wraps to accent your portraits. No two sessions are exactly the same, and I style each session based on your personal taste.
