“God blessed the broken road, that lead me straight to you” – A song we sometimes hear as wedding photographers, that has a special place in my heart as well. This song always reminded me of my own relationship with my husband, and how we found each other after so many struggles and hardships. I love when I hear this song at weddings, as I know it has a special meaning for the bride and groom, who sometimes have traveled a long road to be where they are in that moment. Corinne and Brandon have traveled those broken roads, and are now finally husband and wife. They have their happily ever after.

I was so excited to be chosen as Cori and Brandon’s wedding photographer. I have some history with her family (quite literally, her dad was my history teacher!), and I am sure her mom is correcting my punctuation and grammar throughout this post (she was my English teacher). This family lived just a few doors from my parents as well, so I grew up right down the street. It is a tangled little town, this Hanover, PA! I always have such a fun time reconnecting with people from my past, in my new profession. I get to see them at their very best, on their most special day. Such a joy.

I started my morning with Corinne and the girls, getting ready at The Atland House in Abbottstown, PA. I watched as her talented make-up artist and hair stylist worked their magic. After some detail shots, we headed over to the Hanover Country Club for the ceremony and reception.

Cori and Brandon had so many special touches and traditions incorporated into their day, including a special first dance with their children. She also wore a sixpence in her shoe, a tradition passed down from her grandfather, who was also a wedding photographer. They also took the surprise of seeing each other to a new level, with Brandon facing backwards until Cori reached the top of the aisle. It was a day filled with love and lots of laughter. I am sure you will agree their joy shows through in these photos.
