I put on my wedding photographer hat on Saturday, and had such a blast photographing the wedding of Richard and Erin! I originally met Richard, in 2017, when he was part of the bridal party at Krystal and Pat’s State College wedding, at General Potter Farm. It was so exciting when his fiance, Erin, reached out to me about photographing their wedding this year, at Hanover Country Club. We met up for their engagement session, and I got to meet their sweet pup, Mia. You can check out their engagement photos here, and get a little peek at Mia. I could tell, after that session, we were going to have a very smooth and relaxed road to their wedding, and we definitely did!
Fast forward to their wedding day, and we could not have asked for a more beautiful May day! Sunshine and clouds, warm breezes, and a gorgeous setting. Richard and Erin chose to do a first look before the ceremony, so they could spend time afterwards with their friends and family. We took them out to the golf course, and found the most beautiful pink tree where they first saw each other dressed for the wedding. Richard teared up, and it was a beautiful moment.
The Hanover Country Club offered breathtaking views of the golf course, bridges, wooded areas, and a nice shady ceremony site. We were in heaven, golf carting around finding beautiful little spots to snap their photos before the ceremony even began. As guests arrived, we quickly hid the bride and groom away before the ceremony. Richard and Erin were married amongst the shady trees in a ceremony that included the planting of cacti as a symbol of their lives coming together as one.
The party continued inside with the most delicious food (seriously, best wedding food EVER!), cupcakes, and dancing. I got to catch up with quite a few old friends, who were guests, and of course, made some new ones too! I wish these two the happiest of honeymoons, and I know they will have a beautiful life together.
